Canadian cinema continues to emerge as the contenders of the cinematic future. The popularity of the famous Toronto Film Festival sees millions of filmmakers, celebrities and movie goers descend upon the beloved city. The energy coming from Canadian cinema looks to set the pace in 2011 as well. Prominent upcoming filmmakers are introducing a freshness into the Canadian cinema scene that is welcome by the many in the film industry.

Celebrated filmmaker such as Jason Reitman received praise for his acclaimed Juno. He looks to repeat the magic with a re-teaming of scribe Diablo Cody.
